Limited Time Offer – Make Me Your Virtual BBQ Pit Bitch
(Please leave a comment below!)

I’m just taking a break from looking at the BBQ Smoker Site Facebook Page and seeing all the news about my good friends and buddies in BBQ around the world. It’s really amazing the way we’ve built up such a broad range of readers and friends in BBQ land. I especially enjoy the opportunity to share the stories and successes you are all having!
Sitting here in my home office, I find myself thinking of the best ways I can support my readers who are currently running BBQ Teams. Immediately, I find myself thinking about the realities many of you face when it comes to the cost of gas, meat, spices, sauces, marinades, cooking fuel, vehicle maintenance, etc.
When it comes down to it there’s no denying that many of you operate your BBQ Teams at a loss, and any money coming in to help offset your competition costs is always a big help, I’m sure. Thing is, where does the extra cash normally come from?
One Answer Tops Them All…
Sponsors!
How do you get BBQ sponsors?
Well, this question has several answers.
Normally, you need to start winning a little bit at the Pro Level and get build up some team visibility. You then need to show that your team has the ability to spread the word about your sponsor’s products out to the BBQ Loving Masses. Let’s be real here. Your sponsors are paying you to advertise for them. The more eyeballs you get on their wares the better.
So, let’s recap:
1. Start winning with some consistency at the Pro Level
2. Generate interest in sponsors by presenting them with the idea that you can put a lot of eyeballs on their logo, web address, products, etc.
By now you’re thinking – OK. I can control – to some extent – the winning comps and getting walks side of things. Ant this is true. Not that you can control judges’ scoring. However, with the right preparation, tweaking, maybe a Professional BBQ Cooking Class like the one my good friend Rub Bagby puts out: http://www.swampboys.com/wordpress/?tag=q-school, it is possible to up your game.
But Kevin – Aside from promising to front my tent with sponsor products and slap a sticker on my trailer (which everyone else offers to sponsors), how can I stand out when it comes to my publicity offer – that extra value – I can offer sponsors?
Well, and here’s where it gets exciting… !
You can use my blog – The BBQ Smoker Site – as an advertising spot for your sponsors! On average, my blog gets an average of 17,000 visitors per month who look at as many as 38,000 pages of content per month! That’s huge traffic!
Think about it… what if YOU could offer my blog as a selling point to your sponsors – ensuring them that their logos, products, and offers can be viewed by 17,000 people per month!
That is POWERFUL stuff! I’m sure you agree!
OK, Kevin. What’s the catch. No one does anything for free. What’s in it for you?
I’m glad you asked, because you are RIGHT! I would absolutely NEVER give away this kind of value for nothing. What I get is content for my site, access to you and your BBQ Goings On… and some good vibes. Throw in a few likes on Facebook, some mentions of my site, and we’re good!
So, here’s what you have to do in order to be able to Officially pimp out my BBQ Smoker Site blog as your personal advertising “Pit Bitch!”
STEP ONE:
Send Me via email to kevin@bbqsmokersite.com a Word Document or Txt File write up about your team. I’m crazy busy, and don’t have time or the inclination to do a lot of ‘fixing’ of your stuff. So, this would have to be a good 500 words of content about your team, bios of each member and their responsibilities, types of cookers you’re using, favorite woods to use, etc. Be sure to include links to your team’s website, Facebook Page, Twitter, etc.
For Example: “You can find the Team BBQ Mastermind Facebook Page here: XXXXXXX .”
At the BOTTOM of your post – include a 100 word write up about your sponsor. Give their name, links to their websites, and provide photos of their stuff. Also be sure to provide photos of your team “using’ their stuff at comps!
Stick “Place holders” in your document like “PHOTO 1″ so I know where to put each photo.
Remember, you are trying to impress your sponsor here. So, make their part of the write up good!
STEP TWO:
Attach good quality photos of your team in action, receiving awards, etc. Save each photo with a name like “PHOTO 1″ “PHOTO 2″ etc.
That’s it! Yup! It’s just that easy! I’ll post your write up and photos to my blog, and then I will share it with my readers via my email list, Facebook Page, Twitter, and my pack of wild Florida Coyotes who will carry your message to the four corners of …. ok – so I don’t have Coyotes. But, you get the message!
All you have to to is send in the info! Your sponsor will get amazing visibility for nothing extra on your part! Tell them it’s an added bonus your Buddy Kevin is throwing in to sweeten the deal! You can also tell them that there’s a limited number of these spots available on the BBQ Smoker Site – which is true.
Why? Well – I can only put so many spotlight posts up at a time – as I have other topics in BBQ Land that have to be covered. So – this is a FIRST COME … FIRST SERVED opportunity!
As I write this email to you, I already have two spotlights in the mix. So, your entry will be number 3. Don’t wait to take me up on this “high value” benefit you can offer your sponsors!
Need Some Social Proof of my BBQ Blogging and “Spreading the Good Word” Magic?
Kevin and his BBQ Smoker Site has got to be one of my favorite sources to get updates on new teams, products, and just about anything you want to know about BBQ.I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin at the Plant City Pig Jam back in 2009 and since then he’s become part of the family. He has helped folks locally and across the country get to know more about Team Unknown and tons of other teams.Kevin spends alot of time talking to the movers and shakers in the BBQ world so he can get the best and most up to date info for his readers.Sometimes I wonder if the guy ever sleeps! Whatever it is your doing, keep doing it brother. Unknown BBQ Thanks You!
Raise Hell,
JW – Team Unknown BBQ
I have had my both my Swamp Boys BBQ Team and Swamp Boys Q School highlighted by Kevin on the BBQ Smoker Site. Each time the write up has been fresh, original, and professionally done. At times he does a better job of writing about my Q School than I do, and I have just pointed people with inquiries about it to his site.
He is able to convey some of the subtle yet important points that I want the readers to know about. I know that by having my information on the BBQ Smoker Site it is being seen by thousands of barbecue enthusiasts across the Internet, which is always a good thing!
