This question comes up a lot, as barbecue enthusiasts with older gas grills consider moving over to smoking meat “BBQ Smoker style.”
If the gas grill just won’t work anymore, you can always use the shell as a smoker unit exterior by putting in unit comparable to Sam’s Smoker Pro.
